Xi'an 西安 / Lama Temple 广仁寺

With Oscar (Spain) and Aurel (Swiss) i went visit the Lama Temple in Xi'an. Still was raining, but we was thinking is a nice idea, going on sunday, otherwise we wouldent, too many chinese tourist. So was quite and peacefull to visit the temple. I was thinking was originally tibetan style, but nowadays are many influences from the "chinese buddhism".

We went then after for a nice meal on the muslim quarter. Mhhh Jiao Zi!!

Dunhuang 敦惶 - Xi'an 西安

Make some money, or lose some...

One soup was not engouh, this man, eat 3 of this nudelsoup at the time.

Once again, a very long train journey, only 24hours/ 1809km to Xi'an. But was nice, meet a japanese guy and of course some chinese people :-). 

Dunhuang 敦惶

Dunhuang a other stop on the silkroad. Wow, first i saw the Mogao caves, unfortunally i couldent take some pictures. I asked the manager, but still was not allowed to do some...

But anyway, was really nice, there so many influence from India, Mongolia, Persia and even from Greek! So i saw different images of Buddha, so was very intresting for me, hope i cane go some days back and do some pictures.

In the evening i did a bicycleride to the sand dunes! Again was a wooww! I climbed a big sand dunes, to see better the cresent moon lake. But right now i have to clean my camerastaff, was so windy, like a sandstorm... especially on the top of the dunes.

Ürümji ئۈرۈمچی 乌鲁木齐

First images was the view outside of my window at the youth hostel, the weather was not so clear, otherwise you will see the mountains!

A little bit outside i took the second pictures, sandy again on the silky road..

Hotan خوتەن‎ (Hetian 和田) - Ürümji ئۈرۈمچی (Wulumuji 乌鲁木齐)

I took a "express bus" from  Hotan to Ürümji trough the Taklaman desert, the biggest desert in China!! When we left Hotan, was very green outside, but suddenly was coming more and more to the desert! Was impressing to see the road, allmost a straigth line trough the desert, 500km!!

To make the road more save, the put some plant beside. They have a hole watersystem, to grow this plant.

So now im back in Ürümji and i will leave tomorrow for Dunhuang, a other city on the silkroad.

Hotan خوتەن‎ (Hetian 和田)

In Hotan, i visit again the market, was really nice, but once for me, i saw it. But even then, there is allways some thing to see thats new. So a saw a man, selling some medicine, wich was most of a snake! For what problem the diffrent "snake" are helping, i dont know, but was nice to watch!
