Today we went on the Qixia Mountain, northeast of Nanjing and very close to the University. There are two main temple halls; we saw the hall with the Maitreya statue. Behind the temple is the thousand Buddha cliff 千佛芽 (Qianfo Ya). Several small caves housing stone statues are carved into the hillside, the earliest of which dates from the Qi dynasty (AD 479 - 502). Unfortunaly most of the statue had the head cut off!! But anyway, was a very nice visit here, and we dident saw everything. So we will back here soon.

Shanghai 上海 (day time, and nice weather :-)
Finally the weather was nice in Shanghai, the sun was shining and i get early up in the morning. Back again to the Bund. Right now was not busy, as later in the day, but busy with practicing Tai Chi, and lift up the kite's.
Then i was walking to the old city of Shanghai. Was very impressive, to see the People still life in there old house's behind the new buildings. Looks like somewhere countryside in China. But then i felt back again as to the know "images of Shanghai" on the shoppingmall in Nanjing Lu. Spread with advertisement everywhere, western shops, western restaurant and western tourist.
